In this panel, Conan questions the crew of a ship about the woman he is searching for. We then see a caravan of slave traders in the desert, followed by Conan and his companions heading toward Kheshatta in Stygia.
Launched in 1974, *The Savage Sword of Conan* was published in black and white in magazine format. This format was exempt from the Comics Code and allowed artists greater freedom with shading and washes. The character was created in 1932 by Robert E. Howard in *Weird Tales*.
Numbered "28" in red pencil and "22" in the upper right corner, with a registration mark taped in place.
