Note: This drawing was executed shortly after Dado's arrival in France in August 1956. His characteristic style is already recognizable, featuring a hybridization of forms and a chubby-cheeked face (evoking his "babies" series, which was the focus of his first exhibition at the Galerie Daniel Cordier in the fall of 1958).
