For the second time, PIASA are teaming up with AD magazine on April 6 to stage an Artists-Decorators auction of furniture designed by designers-artists and interior architects.
Over and beyond furniture’s utilitarian purpose, the late 20th/early 21st centuries have witnessed a renewal in the decorative arts. Famous artists are happy to design everyday objects full of strength and poetry. Meanwhile decorators, more used to conceiving purpose-designed pieces for their latest projects, have been producing editions of exceptional furniture in precious materials. AD magazine reflects this phenomenon via the exhibitions AD Intérieurs and AD Collections.
PIASA’s Artists-Decorators sale will offer a panorama of top quality furniture – whether unique pieces, prototypes or limited editions – designed in recent decades.
Highlights include works by Ado Chale, Isabelle Stanislas or Gabriella Crespi.
