La Foire aux Immortels - Dargaud 1980

Original artwork number 51 in Indian ink and acrylic on paper from *La Foire aux Immortels*, a story first published in January 1980 in *Pilote* magazine, issue 68, and published in July 1980 by Dargaud, marking the first instalment of the legendary *Nikopol Trilogy*. This panel, rendered in shades of blue, depicts the scene in which Nikopol and Horus – who has taken possession of Nikopol’s mind – make their way to the church where the electoral contest is taking place. It shows Nikopol, recently appointed governor following Horus’s hypnotic influence over the former governor, Jean-Ferdinand Choublanc, alongside his political opponents: Adjutant XB2 and Aurélien Burnoldz-Mortier, Jean-Ferdinand Choublanc’s former secretary.
Counter-signed, a dedication by Enki Bilal will be provided to the purchaser.
