Richard Hutten is among the most influential figures in Dutch design. A graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, he established his studio the same year, focusing on product and interior design.A founding member of Droog Design, Huttenplayed a key role in reshaping the language of contemporary design. His work is defined by a conceptual yet playful approach, where clarity of idea meets a strong sense of character. Hutten’s work is held in the collections of over 40 museums world wide.
Fascinated by butterflies as symbols of transformation, freedom and hope, Richard Hutten discovered in Milan a surreal creature: a rabbit-like form covered in butterfly patterns, a mysterious blend of nature, imagination, and wonder.
