Note: Struck in 2009 by the discovery of an ancient shipwreck containing bronzes over two millennia old, Peter
Marino initiated a series of boxes sculpted in bronze. Handcrafted at the Atelier Saint-Jacques, part of the
Fondation de Coubertin, these works combine architecture and ornamentation, and reflect the designer's
attachment to traditional craftsmanship. Each piece, the fruit of a long creative process, explores a variety of
organic and cultural influences, sublimated by patinas with multiple effects.
