Unique piece

Note : The artist specifically describes 'The Beetle' as the metamorphosis of a wardrobe into a giant insect, equipped with various functions and hiding places.
The front of the piece features a carved beetle, inspired by a forest-dwelling beetle, the dor beetle Geotrupes stercorosus. The original specimen was discovered in a coastal forest in Latvia and examined under a microscope at 16x magnification.
The beetle is shown moving across the sand of a beach. The corners of the piece feature column-like elements, adorned with wood carvings of dune plants and grasses, while a shell motif decorates the top.
The wardrobe is fitted out as follows: eleven drawers, a stationery compartment, a wine rack, document niches, shelves and two concealed compartments.
All the wood joints are made by hand, without the use of tools or screws.
