Note: This zoomorphic mask symbolizes a 'spirit of the bush'.
This type of mask is still used by the Baoule people of central Côte d'Ivoire and is worn during a series of dances known as Goli.
Exhibition: A similar piece is housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York under object number 1979.535.2
