Art Deco period (circa 1930)
Lipstick case in 18k yellow gold (750‰) enamelled in navy blue and turquoise with geometric decoration known as ‘jeux de fond’ (background patterns), inspired by the work of Sonia Delaunay and her ‘simultaneous fabrics’ exhibited in her ‘Boutique simultanée’ located on the Pont Alexandre III during the 1925 World's Fair.
The ends are adorned with turquoise and centred with a cabochon sapphire in a gold bezel setting.
Signed, numbered 0190, hallmark of Master Goldsmith Gustave Renault and fineness mark.
