A pencil and coloured pencil sketch by Pan of Milo, the Gold Saint of Scorpio – proud and impetuous, he is the guardian of the eighth house of the Sanctuary. Here we see Milo sporting his famous charismatic smile; indeed, unlike most Gold Saints, who maintain a stoic and aloof demeanour, he is one of the few to express his emotions through very pronounced facial expressions. In particular, this smile reflects his immense pride; he uses it as a psychological weapon against his enemies to ramp up the pressure and show that he is in control of the situation.
