On June 14th, PIASA has the privilege of organizing a sale of objects and furniture by Thomas Boog.
PIASA likes to punctuate its design sales with collections whose universes defy trends and movements, particularly when they are embodied by designers, decorators, and editors with undeniably unique personalities.

Porcelain - Unique piece
Estimate: 10000 / 15000 €
Following the success of auctions devoted to Christian Astuguevieille, Vincent Darré, and Francis Cat-Berro, PIASA is now taking the plunge into the underwater world of Thomas Boog. Since the late 1980s, the former artistic director of Bally has embodied a creative spirit that has modernized the art of shell-based collage, an art which originated in the late 17th century.
"He has modernized this rocaille spirit by transposing it onto contemporary decorative objects: vases, bowls and lighting fixtures. His compositions are of rare precision. His rigor and meticulousness have always fascinated me. As much as his baroque emphasis," says designer Hervé Van der Straeten.
This highly unusual approach has seduced many a decorator, from Alberto Pinto to Laura Gonzalez, who have asked him to contribute his eccentric touch to their interior design projects.
