Bringing together a remarkable ensemble of 174 lots, the Contemporary Design & Artists’ Tapestries auction highlights the fertile dialogues between avant-garde decorative arts, sculpture, and textile creation.

The catalogue offers a striking panorama of collectible design from the late 20th century to the present day, oscillating between formal radicalism and material experimentation. It brings together iconic works by leading figures such as Martin Szekely, Ron Arad, Shiro Kuramata, Ettore Sottsass, Rick Owens, Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne, Andrea Branzi, as well as Vincent Dubourg and Studio Job, presented alongside ceramic creations and sculptural wall features designed notably by Peter Lane, Denis Polge, and Florentine & Alexandre Lamarche-Ovize.

This selection also places strong emphasis on artists’ tapestries, celebrating the intimate dialogue between modern art and fine craftsmanship through an exceptional ensemble of works woven after cartoons by major 20th-century masters—Alexander Calder, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Hans Arp, Joan Miró, Hans Hartung, and Robert Motherwell.
