With nearly €1.4 million euros of result including buyer's premium this first edition of "Scandinavian design" has mobilized French and foreign collectors. The auction was marked by very high bids well above the high estimate.
Lot 68 - Paavo Tynell (1890-1973)
Snowflake - Suspension

Unsurprisingly, the session was dominated by a piece by designer Paavo Tynell "Snowflake". This suspension consists of four light sources hidden in a perforated base. Snowflakes made of metal and brass mesh float on wires connected to elongated arms, diffusing the special light of the designer's creations that echo the shapes of nature. This piece, which has become an icon of Scandinavian luminaire production, found a buyer for €91,000 including buyer's premium.
The pair of lamps Model 5061 also aroused the interest of collectors, estimated at 10 000€ to 15 000€ this one sold for 23 400€; just like the pair of lamps estimated at 10 000€ to 15 000€, sold for 22 100€.
Lot 29 - Axel Johannes Salto (1889-1961)

Another major element of the sale was the "Salerno blå med enkel bård" carpet, estimated at €15,000 to €20,000, sold for €36,400. The very nice result for the JH-719 Web lounge chair pair by Hans J. Wegner is also worth mentioning. Estimated at €10,000 to €15,000, it was sold for €31,200.
