An Imperial Kesi robe featuring nine dragons on a yellow ground, each with five claws, shown front-on and in profile among stylized clouds and the twelve imperial emblems and auspicious symbols. The lower part of the robe is decorated with a broad band of lishui, topped by swirling waves and sacred peaks. The collar and cuffs are embroidered with gold and coloured thread with marching dragons, alternating with dragons shown front-on against a midnight blue ground. The robe is lined with flower-damasked sky blue silk.
