Following its exhibition at La Piscine, the André Diligent Museum of Art and Industry in Roubaix, La Redoute is extending the experience with an exceptional auction of pieces from the capsule collection designed by Kévin Germanier, which have been on display at the museum for the past five months. Organized by Piasa, a firm specializing in design and contemporary creation, this auction—titled “Les Précieuses”—will be open to the general public and held online ahead of Paris Fashion Week. It will give these unique creations—at the intersection of fashion, design, and art—a new lease on life.

From March 7 to July 5, 2026, the exhibition “La Redoute: A Step Ahead. Fashion, Design, Advertising” traced nearly 190 years of creativity and innovation, creating a dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation that attracted nearly 120,000 visitors. It was within this context that several previously unseen capsule collections were unveiled, including one by Kévin Germanier, who garnered particular attention for his unique approach to design.

Today, La Redoute is building on this momentum by taking these pieces out of the museum setting and weaving them into a new narrative: that of the collection.

Between Fashion and Furniture: Kévin Germanier’s Vision

For this exclusive capsule collection, Kévin Germanier has reinterpreted ten signature pieces from La Redoute Intérieurs (the Kinoko, Triana, Loulou, and Agathilda lamps; the Talet chairs; the Matmat end tables; the Curva coffee table; and the Tamita nightstand) through his creative vision, blending craftsmanship, performance, and social commitment.

Upcycled multicolored bead embroidery, materials sourced from dormant stock, and a flamboyant aesthetic: each piece stands as a work of art in its own right, straddling the line between functional design and artistic creation.

By applying his textile expertise to the world of furniture, the designer transforms everyday objects into distinctive, one-of-a-kind pieces conceived as extensions of his couture universe.

An auction organized by PIASA to give these pieces a new lease on life in the homes of private collectors

Organized by PIASA, this exclusively online auction marks a groundbreaking milestone: the transition from exhibition piece to collectible, while opening up to the general public and an international audience thanks to its digital format.

True to the spirit of democratization so dear to La Redoute, it invites design enthusiasts, collectors, and fashion aficionados to acquire these unique pieces, which bridge the gap between contemporary creation and heritage.

Located in the heart of Paris on Rue de Monceau, PIASA champions a unique vision of auctions, combining high standards, creativity, and modernity. By reinventing the traditional conventions of auction houses, it offers an immersive and contemporary approach, where each piece is considered in all its artistic and narrative dimensions.

“Hosting this capsule collection by Kévin Germanier at PIASA is a natural fit for our house, which has always been committed to celebrating boldness and modernity. The reinterpretation of La Redoute furniture through the lens of upcycling and haute couture embroidery possesses remarkable narrative power. Thanks to our exclusively online auction format, we are delighted to make these exceptional pieces accessible to collectors worldwide, just ahead of the excitement of Paris Fashion Week,” says Frédéric Chambre, General Manager and auctionner

Held from September 14 to 21, ahead of Paris Fashion Week, this initiative showcases La Redoute’s ability to foster a dialogue between fashion and design, while bridging seemingly opposing worlds: that of mass-market distribution—at the heart of its DNA—and that of one-of-a-kind pieces intended for the art and collectibles market. True to its role as a discoverer and supporter of talent, the brand thus continues its commitment to accessible design, while exploring new avenues of expression. This approach demonstrates, nearly 190 years after its founding, its enduring ability to forge links between heritage, innovation, and contemporary design.

“With Les Précieuses, Kévin Germanier presents ten pieces that blend haute couture and design. To my great delight, the young designer has once again made his mark in the history of La Redoute. “Seeing our creations reinterpreted through his unique perspective and attracting the interest of a house as prestigious as PIASA is a source of immense pride for La Redoute,” says Sylvette Lepers, Director of Creative Partnerships & Image.
