Italian Glass from One Private Collection

On Wednesday, November 23, PIASA is organizing an exceptional sale of Italian glassware from a private collection.

Built up by a lover of Italian glassware over the last few decades, this collection is a remarkable inventory of the different shaping techniques of which the Murano glass workshops are capable. Each one is illustrated through unique styles that make up the richness of Murano glass.

There are several significant series that are emblematic of the greatest creators of the art of glassmaking: Ercole Barovier, Paolo Venini, Fulvio Bianconi, Napoleone Martinuzzi, Flavio Poli, and Archimede Seguso, as well as several pieces designed by designers including Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass, and Carlo Scarpa who have tried their hand at the practice.
