Our 'Bruno Gambone, Glazed Stoneware' sale will take place on Wednesday, 8 October from 2 p.m. at 118, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. This sale presents a collection of glazed stoneware plates and wall plates, highlighting a unique aspect of Bruno Gambone's work. Designed as true surfaces of expression, these pieces combine the artist's constructive rigor with a freedom of composition in which lines, flat areas of color, and signs are perfectly balanced. They demonstrate how Gambone broadened the scope of ceramics, transforming everyday objects into works of art capable of inhabiting space.
On the same day, the 'Italian Design' auction will be held at 5 p.m. It will feature a rich selection of iconic pieces created by the great names in 20th-century design. This auction, comprising 224 lots, traces Italian design from the 1930s to the 1970s through the works of masters such as Ettore Sottsass, Gio Ponti, Angelo Lelii, Paolo Buffa, Fontana Arte, Max Ingrand, Gino Sarfatti, Ico Parisi, Piero Fornasetti, Ignazio Gardella, and many others.
The exhibition is open on the following dates and times:
