On Wednesday December 8th, PIASA is organizing a Jewels & Watches auction, with a varied catalog of more than 250 lots.
This sale brings together the greatest names in fine jewels and traditional watchmaking: Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Boucheron, Gérard, Bulgari, Patek Philippe, Rolex... as well as a wide selection of diamonds and colored diamonds. Colored stones also have their place in this sale: a very beautiful 7.54 carat Burmese sapphire mounted by Lorenz Baumer as well as a 15.12 carat Ceylon cabochon sapphire. A ruby ring of 4.06 carats (lot 98).
Other jewelry with rare and original designs complete this catalog: A gold necklace by Claude Lalanne, No. 2 of a limited edition of 10 by the house of Zolotas (lot 38).

A magnificent "Pensée" necklace in gold plique-à-jour with sapphires and rubies (lot 188), an articulated bangle bracelet adorned with 5 Ceylon cushion sapphires (lot 101), a beautiful "Anemone" bracelet from the 1930s and its enamelled silver and costume stone brooch (lot 29), a Louis Vuitton trunk from 1925 (lot 275).
Finally we are proud to present an exceptional ruby necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels (lot 215). This unique piece composed of 136 balls of unheated Burmese rubies is part of the Haute Joaillerie collection "Les Voyages Extraordinaires" presented in 2010 at the Paris Biennale. Coming from a private French collection, this exceptional necklace was acquired directly from Van Cleef & Arpels.
