November 1998
The first of 12 sales from the Dora Maar Estate (the last in June 2000), which total €35,102,600

20 December 2000
French auction record for a Transition commode stamped Leleu, sold for €3,377,170 at the Hôtel Drouot

27 December 2001
PIASA S.A. bought by François Pinault’s holding company, Artemis

21 June 2002
Sale of Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s painting Paris, Le Quai Malaquais (c.1872-75) for €2,693,000

ARTEMIS cede 60% of the capital of PIASA S.A. to Financière PIASA, a company formed by private investors: Mme Orla Noonan & Messrs Claude Berda, Christian Blanckaert, Michel Cicurel, Jérôme Clément, Jean-Michel Darrois, Laurent Fabius, Charles-Henri Filippi, Jean de Kervasdoué, Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, Patrick Ponsolle, Serge Weinberg, Louis Schweitzer & Lionel Zinsou
